Attended The Players School in 2007. Born in England. After completing the ICMP Diploma and Degree programs, Phil secured a Masters Degree in Performance, before receiving a scholarship to attend ‘Players School of Music’. After graduating from Florida in 2007, Phil has continued to establish himself as a busy international freelancing electric and double bassist. “My graduation from PLAYERS School of Music marked the end of a seminal period of study for me as a musician. My mentoring by the staff in Clearwater helped to shape my career more than any other institution, assisting me to become a lecturer at London’s Bass Institute. Aouthor of Chord Tone Concept, a columnist in BASS Guitar Magazine UK has also endorsed Spector Bass Guitars. Phil Mann has appeared in London’s West End on Dancing In the Street, across Europe on shows such as Jesus Christ Super Star, Little Shop Of Horrors, Anything Goes, Fame, Jack The Ripper, and back home on The National Lottery Live. In addition, Phil’s credits include Alison Limerick, Andy Abraham, and more recently, Lois Winstone (daughter of the iconic British actor Ray). Currently working on his solo album, Phil continues to receive lessons from virtuoso bassist Laurence Cottle, while he prepares research for his PhD.
